Project Google Sniper – Week #3 – 10 sniper sites up

All right, time for a third update on my Google Sniper Project. I didn’t get as much done last week as I wanted, and I have another project I need to focus on for some time now, which means that I will not get as much time the next couple of weeks for creating new sniper sites. I bought 6 new domains last week, but only got 4 of the new sniper sites up, so this week I just have to get 2 more up. I have learned a few new things about both getting them indexed and ranked this week though.

My first sale
I made my first sale this week, though it is kind of disappointing so far. I would have expected have made at least a few sales on Clickbank so far, but nothing there yet, even though I’m starting to get a decent number of hops. Instead I got my first sale from Amazon, even though I only have 1 small sniper sites that targets Amazon. The referral is pretty low, so it only earned my $3.20 USD, but given the amount of clicks on my Amazon referral links from the site were only 37, that gives me a conversion rate of 2.70% – not bad from linking to Amazon products. So this little sniper site will receive a bit more of attention and link building this week, to make it rank better and hopefully it can generate a few sales per week. With 59 unique visitors, about 62% clicked on the referral links. 62% is a pretty awesome conversion rate for a sniper site, so if I can just get more traffic to the site, hopefully it will make more sales on Amazon.

Want Linkjuice? Go EzineArticles
The most important thing I learned last week was the power of EzineArticles. I honestly didn’t think it would be that important to submit articles to this directory, and I thought UAW would pretty much do the job. But boy, does Google LOVE EzineArticles – Site #6 jumped extremely high in rankings very fast, after I posted an article on EzineArticles. And even though Site #1 still doesn’t rank on the main keyword (might have select a pretty bad keyword, but hey – was my first sniper site ;-) ), the site is starting to get a lot more traffic on other long tail keywords, and is actually 3-10 hops per day. This also started after I made the submission to EzineArticles – so this directory really makes a difference when making sniper sites.
Because of this, I will make at least 1 article and post it on EzineArticles for each sniper site this week. Hopefully they will all get approved latest next week, and I will quickly start seeing some results in the rankings.

That was it from this week, if you have any suggestions or questions to my project, please leave a comment or make sure you contact me. Either way, have a great day.

    Congratulations on your first sale!

Although it seems a bit disappointing, you’ve taken the first step and that’s what really matters.

Thanks mate, I think you are really right. It can seem a bit frustrating watching traffic coming in and still no sales, but that is exactly why I think its important not to give up. Now its just about creating a steady stream of traffic, and then trying to convert that traffic into sales. ;-)

i am reading on google sniper, looks like this is just a simple long tail keyword strategy, still looking into more detail.

if you would like to instantly get many niche website to rank, you can visit my site http://www.affiliatehitz.com, i provide 70 niche website that well developed with ebay, amazon and adsense, these sites are not in WP, but i guess you should get a better conversion if the site can rank well. ;-)

    Hi Andrew,
Yes Google Sniper is pretty much based on a “simple long tail keyword strategy”, but the true gold-nuggets in the guide is George’s way of doing it. I don’t think you should take it as a true step-by-step guide to making money, because no such thing exists… But if you read it, you could get a lot of inspiration, and it can help you find your own methods and figure out what works for you, and what will help you earn money online.

I dont believe that you can say your niche templates will rank instantly however. After a month of content creation with sniper sites (and my many years of experience with building websites), it is very rare that you can get so much traffic on auto-generated content like that.

Anyway, best of luck with your project, and thanks for your comment.

    Hi chris,

i have a closer look into google sniper now, yes the information is valuable, but not something really new… i have seen some guru teaching similar thing around.

if you want to get better conversion for clickbank product, i think you should target keywords that really bring ppl a problem and need a fast solution. otherwise, (in my opinion) physical product will convert better.

    check this site:
    http://hawaiianshirtsformen.com/

an example by another niche marketing guru, amazon + wp, rank in 5 hours (he claim that the site can make $150/m)

i am now combining a few method to see the power of niche marketing, will report here if i got a good result.

@Andrew, I’m having doubt that he’s making that much on that site, but might be.. Just looks like a rip-off with text’s directly from Amazon. He is ranking well on the page 1 though, and the main keyword gets like 2900 exact searches per month, so I could believe he earns a decent amount of money on it. Pretty nice, it’s a niche like that you want to find.

    Hi Pulkit,

How long time did you wait after creating and uploading your website? Some times it can take up to a week for Google to index your site.
Also, did you make some linkbuilding for your site? You should submit the RSS to some of the many RSS Catalogs out there, make sure you Digg your posts and add your site to some different Web 2.0 sites. This usually helps me get my sites indexed much faster!

If you want more help and dont wanna mention your sites address in public, you can always contact me by email (ch@easy-web.dk). Good luck with your project.

Hi Christian, just wondering how you are getting on with Google Sniper website sales? Are you now making a resonable income from them? I would be interested to view a successful example of one, if you have a link. Great blog by the way – Nat

    Hi Nat,

I have to admit that I dropped the Google Sniper project, I simply did not hae the time to put into it. Most of the sites are pulling a bit of traffic, in total generating around 15-35 hops every day, but they convert extremely bad. I had a few sales, but nothing to speak of, and the conversion rate is so low, that it is not really interesting, compared to the amount of work. I would suggest you to head over to Mike’s blog as his work with Adsense Snipers looks to be really working, and the way to go with this, if you are interested in it. Personally it is too time consuming for me.

    Hi Dennis,

The last half year I have been busy working on my projects here in Peru, which also shows on my inactivity here on the blog.
The Google Sniper project has always just been a hobby project though, and so far it is just giving me a few extra bucks on the side.
